New To St. Luke
Thanks for visiting our site!Whether you are just curious or seriously considering a "church home,” you are very much welcome here at St. Luke “Community” United Methodist Church. Most of our guest want to know what to expect when you arrive on Sunday morning. We’ve developed these simple steps below so you will make your visit a joyful occasion.
Welcome to Sunday Morning
1. Choose a Worship Celebration
Worship begins at 8:00 and 11:00 a.m., with some exceptions on special holidays. All services follow a worship guide outline which will help you understand how we do things. We welcome you to bring your Bible.
The 8:00 a.m. celebration is more traditional in style and dress. The music is a mix from our hymnals and old spirituals.
The 11:00 a.m. celebration is less formal in style and dress. The music is a combination of our hymnal and contemporary gospel music.
Regardless of which service you choose, it’s best to arrive about 15 minutes early if you need time to find your children’s activity/nursery. Children Sunday school meet during the 11 am worship on first and third Sunday; youth meet every second, third and fourth Sunday at 11 am and adult Sunday school classes meet in-between services starting at 9:45 a.m.
2. Arrive and Get Parked
If this is your first time as a guest, you are special to us, and we have reserved parking next to the church. Look for the special parking spaces located next to our Sanctuary.
3. Find your way
Greeters are ready to answer your questions to get you where you need to go. Just look for them at the doors and in the halls. They’ll be waiting for you to arrive before worship.
4. Celebrate Through Worship
Usher's will welcome you into the worship center and give you a worship guide outlining the service. They will also help you find a seat, answer questions, and give you a tour of the facilities.
