|Are You A Visitor?|
Thanks for checking us out!
Whether you are just curious or seriously considering a "church home,” you are very much welcome here at St. Luke “Community” United Methodist Church. Most of our visitors wanted to know what you can expect when you arrive on Sunday morning. After talking with many visitors over the years, we’ve developed these simple steps below so you will make your visit a joyful occasion.
Welcome to Sunday Morning
1. Choose a Worship Service
Worship begins at 8:00 and 11:00 a.m., with some exceptions on special holidays. All services generally follow a worship guide outline which will help you understand how we do things. We welcome you to bring your bible.
The 8:00 a.m. service is more traditional in style and dress. The music is a mix from our hymnals and old spirituals.
The 11:00 a.m. service is less formal in style and dress. The music is a mix of our hymnal and contemporary gospel music.
Regardless of which service you choose, it’s best to arrive about 15 minutes early if you need time to find your children’s activity/nursery. Children, youth and adult Sunday school classes meet in-between services starting at 9:45 a.m.
2. Arrive and Get Parked
If this is your first time visitor, you are special to us and we have reserved parking next to the church. Look for the special parking spaces located next to each of our Sanctuaries.
3. Find your way
Greeters are ready to answer your questions to get you where you need to go. Just look for them at the doors and in the halls. They’ll be waiting for you to arrive before worship. Please visit our Guest Reception designed just for you after each worship service. There you will be greeted with refreshments and fellowship with ministry members of St. Luke.
4. Celebrate Through Worship
Ushers will welcome you into the worship center and give you a worship guide outlining the service. They will also help you find a seat, answer questions, and give you a tour of the facilities.
