NURTURE MINISTRIES

The Nurture Ministries are very excited about the move of God in our Church and the awe-inspiring privilege God has given us to make disciples for Jesus Christ. We believe God wants all people to come to saving faith and experience the joy and peace that is ours through the redeeming love of Jesus.

We are committed to lifelong Christian formation through the Discipleship Ministry, and intentionally meeting the felt needs of our church family through the Congregational Care Ministry.

Invitation To John: A Short-Term Disciple Bible Study

In its wisdom, the early church chose to keep four Gospel accounts of the life,  ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Three of these Gospels are very similar  to each other in both what they tell about the story of Jesus and how they tell it.   However, the Gospel of John stands apart. In it we find Jesus speaking not in  parables but in lengthy discourses. We overhear Jesus speaking with Nicodemus,   a Samaritan woman, and Mary Magdalene. We marvel at Jesus turning water into  wine, calling Lazarus from the tomb, and washing his disciples’ feet. You are  hereby issued an invitation to come and see this Jesus—to hear him speak, to see  his sign—and to consider anew what it means to be one of his followers.

Disciple Bible Study (Levels I)
A high commitment, long-term bible study program. (34 weeks) DBS offers congregations a challenge and a promise. The challenge is to see the regular in-depth study of scripture as a foundation for making disciples and performing ministry. The promise is that all who submit themselves to examination by scripture will, with the aid of the Holy Spirit, be changed. This course is for congregations desiring a way of life -- as individual Christians and as a faithful members of the community -- to be transformed by the way of Christ, commitment to the study of the bible is the first and foundational step to take. We invite you to join us in our journey toward faithful discipleship!
