Trinity Singles ministry purpose is to promote wholeness in each individual’s life by providing an atmosphere of acceptance and genuine care: thereby, individuals may grow and become what God wants them to be. As individuals, we will encourage, equip, and empower God’s people to mirror and reproduce the image of Jesus Christ throughout our families, the church, the community and the world.

Stephen Ministry

Keep on loving each other as brothers...

Stephen Ministry is grounded in Jesus command to love another through one- to – one-caring relationships. Stephen Ministers are committed Christian lay people who express God’s care through their lives to others both in our congregation and community. There are times when each of us may need the care of another person. Areas in which persons may need help include, but are not limited to, the following: facing a difficult illness, experiencing job loss, separation or divorce, the aging and elderly, those facing life transitions, households experiencing birth or adoption.

What is a Stephen Minister?
- A child of God who walks beside a hurting person
- A caring Christian friend who listen and maintains confidentiality
- A lay person who has received 50 hours of training in how to provide distinctively Christian care

How does the referral process work?
- A person- either you, a relative, or a friend, is hurting and in need of Christian Care
- The referral coordinator learns about the need for care from the person, or friend, always with the person’s permission
- The referral coordinator meets with the person to talk about Stephen Ministry
- With the person’s permission, the referral coordinator assigns a Stephen Minister to meet on a weekly basis with the person
- The Stephen Minister continues to provide distinctively Christian care for the person with Strict Confidentiality


Young Adult Ministry (YAMS)

The Young Adult Ministry is a vehicle to provide personal and collective spiritual growth to people ages 18-30 through church involvement, fellowship, and discipleship. The ministry conducts a monthly Bible study. It also hosts a weekly Sunday School class, “Witness”, and an annual “Spiritual Love Jones”-- an alternative worship service that allows us to artistically express our views of the world around us from a Christian perspective. Additionally, the ministry provides various opportunities to interact with young adult brothers and sisters in Christ through fellowships.

Promote God’s Plan for Marriage
Engaged Couples

The engaged couples ministry provides a forum for couples to gain understanding of the sacred covenant of holy matrimony and to discuss topics that will help couples learn how to celebrate and cope with life joys and challenges. The engaged couples ministry holds quarterly workshops that provide sound biblical teachings on God’s plan for marriage to firmly establish the marriage bond as the foundation upon which, healthy families are built.


Grief Recovery

The Grief Recovery ministry provides a six-week workshop designed to support those who are experiencing grief as a result of the loss of a loved one. Drawing upon the power and direction of the Holy Spirit, the ministry extends an open heart and a listening ear to the bereaved. The workshops meet quarterly.


Keenagers

---------------

The Keenager ministry focuses on adults age 50 and over, both married and single. Through Keenager Bible study, sacred dance, and fellowship, the ministry addresses the concerns and conditions of mature adults in the church and surrounding community so that they may grow in the understanding of themselves and the Christian faith, and that their quality of life may be improved.


Lay Visitation

--------------------

Shares the word of God with all hospitalized members and immediate families. The ministry also visits the sick and the shut in, supporting them through prayer and presence.


Married Couples Ministry

Married Couples Ministry (“MCM”) is appropriate for married couples of all ages and stages, and provides an environment saturated with encouragement, education, and interaction to help couples successfully navigate their marital journey!

The Married Couples Ministry provides opportunities and environments through bible studies, retreats, home fellowships, and seminars where husbands and wives can build upon their existing foundation and be empowered to love one another as Christ loves
us all ... Unconditionally, Intimately, and with Forgiveness.

Counseling

Provides psychotherapy services and pastoral counseling. The counseling ministry mission is to be an empowering organization of Christian Professionals and lay people that exists for the purpose of affirming each person’s dignity and well being, and to protect his/her privacy. The ministry is committed to assisting and standing with each person during the healing process.
