WITNESS MINISTRY
mloganAt St. Luke we define worship as being ushered into God’s presence. Worship is where we connect with God and is a time when we interact with each other on a deeper spiritual level.

We worship God, not just with our intellect, not just through our emotions, not just through our experiences, but we worship God with everything that we have!!! Praise is the vehicle that takes us to our destination—worship. Praise is all that we do to get our minds, hearts and spirits in tuned with God’s Holy Spirit; Praise is singing and liturgy; and praise is adoration and glorification of God.

It is an important and necessary ingredient that must be in place for true worship to take place. Each of the following ministries play an intricate part in our celebration of praise and worship.

Sacred Dance Ministries-In the name of Jesus Christ and through the Holy Scriptures, we are called by the spirit of Christ to be faithful stewards to the church and to the community.  We are called to witness, through dance, the good new about God.  Just as King David brought the ark into the city and leaped and danced before the Lord, (2 Samuel 6:16), our movements and rhythm will exemplify His glory.  We, the disciples of God, are committed to serve and meet the needs of the community through our outreach programs, with our time, our talents and our money.  It is our goal to continue to witness through dance the saviorhood of Jesus Christ, in all that we say and do.

Accordingly, the Status & Role of Women is committed to ensuring that women have the opportunity for full participation and leadership roles in the congregation and the broader community. Our ministry is committed to the notion that such full and equal participation is representative of the heart of the Gospel and the Kingdom of God.
