St. Luke “Community” United Methodist Church has a variety of ministries. Click the links below or follow some of our quick links below.
Quick Links United Methodist Men - The United Methodist Men's Ministry is called to establish, maintain and nurture a personal relationship with God through our perpetual crusade to grow spiritually and to daily seek God's will. As a creative and supportive fellowship of men who seek to know Jesus Christ, we are called to be a community of God's caring people, within the church and world community, by serving as faithful stewards of our time, talents and money; by combating injustice wherever it may exist and by implementing outreach ministries to meet the needs of the total community. United Methodist Women- The United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop supportive fellowship, and to expand the course of mission through participation in the global mission of the church. UMW is involved on the local, district, conference and national level within the United Methodist Church. www.gbgm-umc.org/umw Women of Purpose- The Women of Purpose is an intergenerational, upward-looking, outward-reaching group of women committed to discovering and living God's purpose for their lives. http://www.slwomenofpurpose.com/default.html Bible Study- The Discipleship Ministry seeks to create sacred spaces wherein individuals can come to have a deeper experience of God and to be transformed. We believe that such an experience will assist persons in living an increasingly holy life, that is, a life that is characterized by love of God and neighbor. This ministry is mandated to nurture persons in their growth toward a mature faith or what Martin Luther King, Jr., often called the “complete life.” The evidence of this “complete live” is found in love of God, self, and neighbor. http://www.slcumc.org/bstudy/biblestudy.htm Youth & Children Ministries- Click Here
